winner of the New Mexico Book Award, and A Bell Buried
Deep co-winner of the Nicholas Roerich Poetry Prize. She
is the co-editor of the Taos Journal of Poetry & Art, and
Acquisitions Editor for Three, a poetry press. She lives
with her husband David Pérez in Taos, New Mexico.

  2. Dear Veronica, I can’t tell you how much this moved me, and the way you imagined Mary’s intimate heart to life. John Brown has always been a personal “touchstone” for me. Right now I am reading “Fire on the Mountain” by Terry Bisson, a SF alternate history novel where John Brown wins at Harper’s Ferry, and a Black Nation is created in the American South.
